Oppo has officially launched a more affordable version of its F5 named the Oppo F5 Youth. All the specs are pretty much the same except for the downgraded camera setup.
CPU, GPU and RAM
Oppo F5 Youth is powered by the same MediaTek Helio P23 chipset having 8 cortex-A53 cores. GPU is also the same i.e. The ARM Mali G71 MP2. The only downgrade as far as raw power goes is in the RAM department. Oppo F5 Youth featured 3GB RAM instead of 4GB.
Display and Hardware
As for the remaining specs, it features a 6” 18:9 display having FHD+ resolution (2160×1080 pixels). Internal storage is 32GB expandable via microSD card. The good thing is that the expansion slot is not a hybrid slot which means that you have a dedicated microSD card slot along with two nano-SIM slots. The phone comes with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. All this is powered by a 3200 mAh battery.
Oppo F5 Youth features a 13MP camera on the back with F/2.2 aperture along with LED flash. The front shooter is 16MP with F/2.0 aperture. Sadly, there is no Flash on the front but that is compensated with on screen flash where the display is boosted to maximum brightness to illuminate the face.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo F5 Youth is currently available in the Philippines in Black and Gold color options for PHP13,990 ($275).
